In 2011 Bee Local Founder Damian Magista began harvesting honey from different historic neighborhoods in Portland, Oregon. He found that each neighborhood honey had strikingly distinct and nuanced flavor, So we decided to NEVER blend any of our honeys, and seek out Bee Local Approved beekeepers who are crafting exceptional honeys in iconic areas across the country. Similar to premium wine or single-origin coffee, each one of these single-origin honeys tells the delicious story of a specific place, and specific season.
