Vitamin B-12 is critical for the production of red blood cells and is required for the synthesis of DNA during ell division. In tissues with rapidly diiding cells such as the bone marrow tissues where red blood cells are produced B-12 is praticularly important. B-12 is also important for maintaining a health nervous system.
